We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jason LoCoco as the next Chief of Police for the Village of Lemont.
Jason was officially appointed at the Village Board Meeting on Monday, July 28, and will assume the role following the retirement of Chief Marc Maton. This appointment follows a thorough and comprehensive search process conducted by the Village to identify the most qualified candidate to lead our Police Department. The process included an extensive review of credentials, experience, and leadership capabilities to ensure the best fit for our community’s needs.
Chief-Designate LoCoco is a graduate of Drake University and brings over 25 years of progressive leadership experience with the Illinois State Police. Throughout his distinguished career, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public safety, professional integrity, and community-focused service. His experience spans patrol operations, training and development, crisis and crowd control management, administrative leadership, and interagency collaboration.
Jason, his wife Marie, and their two sons are proud Lemont residents and are deeply invested in the well-being and safety of our community. We are confident that Chief-Designate LoCoco will build upon the strong foundation laid by Chief Maton and continue to lead our department with excellence.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chief Marc Maton for his outstanding service to Lemont over the past 10 years. His leadership, integrity, and unwavering dedication have had a lasting impact on our community. Please join us in congratulating Chief Jason LoCoco to the Village of Lemont and thanking Chief Maton for his exceptional contributions to Lemont.
